I was lucky enough to cover a shoot at Scampston Walled Garden a couple of years ago for Country Living Magazine. This wonderful garden is set within the walls of the original kitchen garden for Scampston Hall. The garden was derelict for nearly fifty years when Sir Charles and Lady Legard started a huge restoration project with the help of garden designer, Piet Oudolf. This garden looks stunning during late summer and well worth the visit to North Yorkshire.

Thank you Becky, lovely site too.
I was there a couple of weeks ago – well worth a visit 🙂
I must try and get up there again soon
Beautiful garden and stunning photographs (Penny Leaver Green put me onto your blog having told me about this garden and your pics). Oh for a garden large enough to contain a perennial meadow!
I know, wouldn’t it be lovely !
What a wonderful set of photos! I love the fact that the garden is in its late summer dress; a different visual opportunity. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you !
